Milo & Moxie Prevention Education Program

The Arizona Burn Foundation’s Milo & Moxie Prevention Education Program helps elementary-age children learn life-saving fire and burn prevention skills through engaging stories, hands-on activities, and memorable characters. Led by Milo the Smart Safety Ranger dog and his curious friend Moxie the hummingbird, the program teaches children how to recognize hazards, make safe choices, respond in emergencies, and share important safety lessons with their families.

Through age-appropriate educational materials and classroom resources, Milo & Moxie empowers children across Arizona to build safer homes, schools, and communities.

Milo & Moxie: Smart Safety Rangers™

In Smart Safety Rangers, Milo and Moxie guide children through a typical home, teaching practical ways to prevent fire and burn injuries. Key topics include kitchen safety, hot and cold hazards, smoke alarms, chemical burns, sun safety, and more.

The program includes bilingual storybooks, activity pages, parent guides, classroom books, posters, and additional educational resources. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors, all materials are available at no cost to Arizona schools, fire departments, community centers, organizations, and families, including shipping within Arizona.
