The holiday season is in full swing and with that we know seeing friends and family will include travel for some.  We also know this time of year, as the weather is cooler some look forward to having fire pits to enjoy the evenings outside and we also know that some will have an opportunity to have Christmas trees and light displays in celebration of the season.

As you can enjoy these activities ABF would like to remind you to be mindful of the potential dangers and enjoy responsibility.  When around open flames please do not wear loose clothing or throw accelerants on the fire.  If you will be using a live Christmas Tree, please ensure that you are watering the tree at least once a day.  A tree as it dries out becomes more of a danger with the heat of the lights.

December is a great month to make sure you check your smoke alarms to make sure they are in working condition.  In case of a house fire you have two minutes to escape so please go over with your family a home evacuation plan.  Having a plan that has been discussed will ensure that in case of a fire you will have the best outcomes.

A little preparation can make all the difference for you and your family.

I wish you a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year and until next year, be kind to your neighbor and stay safe.

Stay safe everyone and I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you soon.
