ABF Appoints Longtime Board Member Ashley Hower as New Board Chair to Continue Mission-Driven Growth

The Arizona Burn Foundation (ABF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of burn survivors and their families while promoting burn prevention advocacy and education, is proud to announce the appointment of Ashley Hower as Chair of its Board of Directors.

Ashley, chief marketing officer at Plexus Worldwide, spearheads global marketing initiatives to drive brand strategy, consumer engagement, and product innovation. With over two decades of experience in marketing and brand leadership, Hower brings a deep commitment to advancing ABF’s mission and a strong track record of service. She has served on the board since 2023 and has been actively involved with ABF for more than 14 years, contributing to ABF’s growth and community impact through advocacy, fundraising, and championing its continuum of care model – supporting burn survivors through recovery and beyond.

Hower’s dedication to the burn community is also personal. Her grandfather served as a fire chief in the Midwest for more than 30 years – a legacy of service that continues to inspire her work with ABF.

“It’s an honor to serve as Board Chair for the Arizona Burn Foundation, where I’ve been deeply involved for over a decade,” said Hower. “I’m continually inspired by ABF’s holistic approach to supporting burn survivors and their families—not just helping them recover but empowering them to thrive. I look forward to working alongside our board and leadership team to strengthen these programs, deepen our impact, and ensure long-term sustainability.”

Rex Albright, CEO of the Arizona Burn Foundation, expressed enthusiasm for the transition:

“Ashley has been a dedicated and influential member of our leadership team, and we are thrilled to welcome her into this leadership role,” said Albright “Her strategic mindset and mission-driven focus will be instrumental in guiding our future strategic direction and expanding our reach in the community.”

Hower succeeds Eric Bergman, who has served as Board Chair since 2023. During his tenure, Bergman supported the organization through key milestones, including the statewide expansion of ABF’s client care services and the advancement of inclusive prevention efforts through the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Smoke Alarm Program. The Arizona Burn Foundation extends its sincere appreciation for his dedicated leadership. His continued presence on the board as Past Chair will help ensure strategic continuity and support as ABF enters its next chapter.
