Adult Burn Retreat 2021

In October, ABF held our annual Adult Burn Retreat for burn survivors and their caregivers. This year’s retreat was held virtually and connected burn survivors across Arizona not only to each other but to valuable resources and information that may be helpful as they navigate the post-injury journey. Sessions were held focusing on alternative options to healing and addressing pain management and itching – two topics we frequently hear questions about from our survivors and loved ones. We also held peer support groups for both the survivors and the caregivers which provides a safe space to talk with peers about their experiences.
