Are you ready for ABF to be in Tucson

Since you’re a valued stakeholder in our community, we want to make sure you know what’s ahead so you can continue to influence our mission in a positive way. Can you help with the new projects and events ahead in Tucson?

There are a lot of things that we do really well when serving our burn survivors and their families; however, there are a few things that we can do better. One of those things that I see being done well is having our Client Care Services team on-site with weekly rounds at Valleywise Burn Center, so burn survivors and their families are easier to access when they need us the most.

While we do have resources and partners at Banner University Medical Center Tucson, we don’t have the presence of a staff social worker in Tucson. Anytime a family needs access to clothing, meal vouchers, or someone to talk to, our social workers in Phoenix are available and will remotely do all they can to assist. While this is helpful, it isn’t the most convenient for our burn survivors and their families. We’re just not serving them well in this capacity.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if a member of our Client Care Service team was present in Tucson to meet personally with burn survivors and their families to address all of their physical and emotional needs? This is our plan, to expand our capacity in Tucson to better meet the needs of burn survivors and to better serve the need at Banner University Medical Center Tucson.

Will you consider giving generously towards this cause?

Thanks for all that you do in making ABF a great community!

Sincerely,

Rex

CEO

P.S. So, here is our big dream to be Tucson with space for social workers, program managers, volunteers, burn survivors, and their families to make a bigger impact and difference in the burn community.
