Camp Courage 2021

Camp Courage may be going virtual in June 2021 but that does not mean that we are skipping out on some of the campers’ favorite activities – not even Ropes! While we aren’t able to climb into the trees and work our way through a ropes course or soar down a zip line, our volunteers have created some exciting ways to bring the ropes course experience to our campers this year. Campers will participate in “ropes sessions” during the virtual camp week where they will learn about the different knots used to help keep them safe while participating in the traditional ropes activities at camp. Our ropes crew volunteers will also be challenging campers and their families to create a fun obstacle course at home during the week! We are excited about the opportunity to involve the whole family in creating memories while building an obstacle course and showing it off to the other campers. It’s amazing to see the heart and creativity our volunteers bring to the table to make Camp Courage special for our campers each year, and going virtual in 2021 is no different. If you have a survivor who is of Camp Courage age (6-15) an would like information on how your camper can get involved in Virtual Camp Courage 2021, please contact Marissa Fabel at marissa.fabel@azburn.org or 602-230-2041 ext. 102.
