From the CEO

CEO Corner September 2025

Dear Friends of ABF,

I’m honored to share that the Arizona Burn Foundation has been named one of this year’s honorees at the Phoenix Business Journal’s Healthcare Hero Awards.

ABF was recognized in the Innovator category, which “honors people or organizations that have contributed to healthcare through their research, discoveries or development of new procedures, devices, services or treatments that can save lives or improve our quality of life.”

ABF was founded nearly 60 years ago with a mission to improve the quality of life for burn survivors and their families. To be recognized six decades later for that enduring vision is deeply meaningful. Out of more than 80 nominees, we are grateful to be featured alongside more than 20 other outstanding healthcare organizations in Phoenix – including the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (Phoenix Chapter) and the Contexture AzHDR (Arizona Healthcare Directives Registry) Team in our category.

The recognition is a reflection of the incredible support we receive from our community – including you. Your belief in our mission helps us innovate, grow, and continue to serve burn survivors with compassion and care.

With gratitude,

Rex Albright

ABF CEO
