Cook Like A Firefighter Was A Huge Success

Thank  you for support of the Cook Like a Firefighter competition! Our winners were:

      • First Place: Chandler Fire Department- Green Salsa
      • Second Place: Pine Strawberry Fire District- Bacon Biscuits and Gravy
      • Third Place: Scottsdale Fire Department- Thai Basil Chicken

AZ Family- Channel 3 was with us as we presented Chandler Fire Department with their first place award. Watch the video HERE.

Your generous contribution will help strengthen our relationships with Arizona fire departments while proving additional support in fire prevention and burn safety education. Our bi-annual community smoke alarm walks, hearing impaired alarm installations, and Milo & Moxie educational programs are just a few ways that we partner with fire departments to educate and insure our Arizona residents’ safety.

Here is what the competition accomplished!

  • # of votes: 18,473
  • # of children that will receive ABF’s Milo & Moxie educational program: 13,600
  • # of smoke alarms ABF can provide to the community: 1,080
  • # of hearing impaired alarms ABF can provide to the community: 54
