On Saturday, September 26th, the Arizona Burn Foundation held its Inaugural Fall Leadership Summit at their Phoenix office. Eight burn survivors attended ranging in age from 16 – 20. Guided by staff and ABF volunteer, Julie Rodgers, the attendees participated in activities and discussions focused on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey. Activities included Human Bingo, a Lego Communication Game, and The Great Discovery which involved creating a life path.

The event welcomed existing leaders in training from Camp Courage, current scholarship recipients, and even a new burn survivor that will be attending camp next year. In addition to the activities, attendees heard various presentations, networked with others, and have a fun time with old and new friends.

The Arizona Burn Foundation’s Fall Leadership Summit is available to burn survivors between the ages of 16 and 20 years old. This event is made possible as a result of the generous donations received throughout the year. Information on future events can be found here.
