Milo & Moxie in Review

As we begin the New Year and reflect on our programming, we would like to take a moment to celebrate the incredible success of our Milo & Moxie: Smart Safety Rangers™ curriculum! Since the program’s targeted launch in 2017, we have seen an overall 31% decrease in the number of pediatric burn admits to the Arizona Burn Center. Over the past 3 years, ABF has intentionally distributed Milo & Moxie materials to 7 Arizona zip codes that are at the highest risk for pediatric burn injuries. Children in these areas have learned and interacted with the Milo & Moxie lessons and are obviously implementing burn prevention and fire safety strategies at home. We are proud of these results and happy to know that less children are suffering a life changing burn injury due to increased knowledge and education. Here’s to many more victories in 2022!
