Dear Friends of ABF,
This was a pivotal year for our community. Not only did Arizona Burn Foundation (ABF) continue to support burn survivors and their families during their moment of crisis, we have needed to find new ways to engage with them and our community as the pandemic continued to limit our ability to gather.
As we entered the second year of seeing our programs offered virtually we needed to ensure our audiences were able to connect with each other. We needed to provide the much needed education, support and fellowship that ABF has been known for since our founding in 1967.
Now we focus on the future. This past fall we have been able to offer smoke alarm walks in several communities. We have also formally opened our office in Tucson so we can better serve the Southern Arizona area. We have unveiled, and now executing key components of our 3-year expansion plan. This plan will see ABF have a larger presence in Flagstaff, Prescott, Southern Arizona and Yuma.
As you read our Annual Impact Report you will see ABF has truly delivered on our mission promise.
Sincerely,
Rex Albright
Be a Hero to ABF! As a member of the Arizona Burn Foundation Friends Society, your generous monthly donation can deliver the many resources and services that burn survivors rely upon.
Make at-risk and low-income homes safer. We partner with local fire departments and the American Red Cross to provide no cost Smoke Alarms and Deaf & Hard of Hearing alarms in homes.
Help us provide one week of Milo & Moxie: Smart Safety Rangers to Arizona classrooms.
Cover the cost for burn survivors and their families to attend a monthly social gathering to meet other survivors. A burn injury affects the entire family. Our social gathering serves parents, siblings and care givers of a burn survivor to help the entire family throughout their healing journey.
Provide H.O.P.E. Services (Helping Others, Promoting Empowerment), emotional support, financial assistance, medical garments, therapy services, and other programming to help burn survivors and their families navigate recovery
Camp Nurture, Camp Courage, Camp Thrive, Camp Hope, Camp Connection, Camp Community are safe camp environments which fosters personal growth and emotional recovery from a traumatic burn injury.
Friends of ABF honors our loyal funders and passionate advocates who make monthly contributions twelves times per year. Whether you sign up for a recurring gift of $10 or $100, you’ll know that each month you are making an impact on burn prevention and healing in the burn community because of your generosity!
