His treatment took him and his stepdad more than 400 miles away from their home all the way to Tucson for follow-up care at Banner – University Medical Center. As you can imagine, adding a long, roundtrip car ride to an already emotional journey can be incredibly stressful.
Thanks to our amazing partners at Angel Flight, Jacob and his family didn’t have to worry about travel logistics. Angel Flight provides free air transportation for individuals with medical needs who may not be able to access commercial flights. Their network of volunteer pilots and supporters donate their time, aircraft, and resources to make these trips possible.
A BIG thank you to Angel Flight – and a special shoutout to pilot Joe – for flying Jacob and his stepdad to his most recent appointment and making the journey easier!
Here’s how ABF helped support Jacob and his family:
🚗 Gas assistance
🍽️ Meal vouchers
🏨 Overnight lodging
🚕 Local transportation
The best part? Jacob has now been cleared from follow-up visits! No more long trips – just healing and moving forward. We’re proud to stand beside families like Jacob’s every step of the way.
