This week, the Arizona Burn Foundation (ABF) was proud to serve as the nonprofit beneficiary of SRP’s Annual Water Stewardship Safety Summit.

Held for more than 400 SRP employees, this year’s summit centered on burn awareness and provided a meaningful opportunity for ABF to share how our programs improve the lives of burn survivors and their families, while also promoting burn prevention education and advocacy throughout Arizona.

“Our employees’ engagement and generosity reflect the strong safety culture we work hard to build at SRP,” said Lynn Allen, Director of Water Information Technology Services. “We are grateful to the Arizona Burn Foundation for sharing their mission and helping us reinforce why we work safely—for our families, our health, and each other, both at work and at home.”

The half-day event featured vendor booths, safety games, heartfelt stories of resilience and a raffle benefiting Arizona Burn Foundation’s programs and services. While the generosity of SRP employees far exceeded all expectations—raising more than $6,400—it was the dedication of SRP’s staff, leadership, and burn survivors that left the greatest impact. Sharing a personal burn journey requires immense courage, especially in front of colleagues. Their willingness to do so reinforced SRP’s commitment to one another and its dedication to raising awareness that burn injuries can happen to anyone.

“We are incredibly grateful for SRP’s generosity and for their unwavering commitment to safety,” said ABF Interim CEO Bridget Doherty. “Their generosity not only supports our programs but strengthens our collective ability to prevent burn injuries and we are honored to work alongside an organization that prioritizes safety and community as strongly as they do.”

To everyone at SRP – thank you for your generosity, passion for safety, and sincere commitment to supporting burn survivors, their families and our Arizona communities.
