My name is Yvette Urias, mother of 2 and grandmother of 4. Back in April I got a really bad burn on my right leg from extremely hot soup. I was admitted to Banner Hospital in Tucson with first and second degree burns, it is an outstanding Hospital, the best hospital I’ve ever been in. I was referred to Arizona Burn Foundation during my stay. Ximena Contreras and Erica Mendoza came to see me at the hospital. They gave me so much moral support since I had only one visitor the entire 8 days of my stay. I was very emotional and they were both very encouraging and kind. I was also in pieces about not being able to pay my rent for the month of June and they offered me help. After I was discharged Ximena called me and checked up on me very often and even sat with me at my doctor’s appointment, that alone meant the world to me. I am beyond grateful. Ximena mentioned that I was her very first client with the foundation and judging by how she helped me she will do great and will represent this wonderful organization very well. Thank you so much.
