Matt Cunningham, Cunningham Law Firm Donate $110,000 to Arizona Burn Foundation

Longtime partnership supports emotional and financial care for burn survivors and families

(PHOENIX, AZ – JUNE 16, 2026) – The Arizona Burn Foundation (ABF) has received a $110,000 gift from attorney Matt Cunningham and the Cunningham Law Firm, continuing a decades-long partnership dedicated to supporting burn survivors and their families.

For more than 25 years, Cunningham and his firm have stood alongside the burn community—not only as legal advocates, but as committed partners in recovery. This latest gift will support ABF’s Client Care Services, which provides critical emotional and financial assistance to individuals and families navigating the challenges of burn injuries.

Since 2000, the Cunningham Law Firm has contributed more than $5 million to organizations serving burn survivors, reflecting a deep and sustained commitment to helping individuals rebuild their lives after traumatic injury. Cunningham’s impact has been recognized with honors including the Phoenix Society’s Harman Award and the Arizona Burn Foundation’s Legacy Award.

But for Cunningham, the work has always been personal.

“As an attorney representing burn survivors and their families, I have been blessed to walk with them from the start of the tragedy and to be a part of the healing continuum, to restore their lives as best as possible regardless of their scars or any disability. In my legal career, I get to be present with the burn survivor and their families from the start of the tragedy and to see first-hand their strength, resiliency, courage, love, and the rainbow after the storm. Our mission, and I like to think of it as a ministry, is to soften the survivor’s walk and to lessen their burdens.”

“As a trusted partner for well over two decades, Matt and his team have never wavered in their support of the burn community,” said Bridget Doherty, Chief Executive Officer of the Arizona Burn Foundation. “His generosity ensures that survivors and families have access to essential resources—from a place to stay near the hospital to everyday necessities that ease an incredibly difficult time.”

Through ABF’s Client Care Services, the gift will help provide practical, immediate support such as temporary lodging, gas cards, meal vouchers, compression garments, and other critical resources that allow families to focus on healing.

###

Together, partnerships like this ensure that no burn survivor or family has to navigate recovery alone. The Arizona Burn Foundation is deeply grateful to Matt Cunningham and the Cunningham Law Firm for their continued leadership, compassion, and commitment to helping survivors not only heal—but thrive.
