In the past few weeks, we have had the pleasure of gathering with amazing volunteers for Community Smoke Alarm Walks, teaching Milo & Moxie at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, and working alongside volunteers in the ABF Office. Throughout these experiences, the kindness, generosity, and passion of ABF volunteers shines through brilliantly. You all are the heart behind ABF and we are incredibly grateful for you!

Volunteer Spotlight- Meet Taeler!

Taeler was one of the amazing volunteers who installed smoke alarms at the Buckeye Valley Community Smoke Alarm Walk this fall. Taeler started volunteering in the ABF Office this past summer and has generously helped with projects ranging from inviting fire departments to participate in Cook Like a Firefighter, packing smoke alarm walk bags, and preparing educational materials to give to families. She has been a true joy to work with – always energized, smiling, and ready to serve the community.

Thank you, Taeler, for supporting ABF’s mission, being a wonderful example for the community, and inspiring one and all with your selfless service!

What motivates you to give back to the community with ABF?

I have grown to really like and appreciate the group of women that run the day to day things for ABF, which in turn, makes me more than happy to lend a hand when they need it!

What contribution are you most proud of, during your time volunteering with ABF?

I am happiest to help promote Cook Like a Firefighter, and also, helping prepare for the smoke alarm walk in Buckeye.

Why do you choose to volunteer with ABF?

Working from home can get quite lonely and I was really looking for a way to socialize and give back at the same time – luckily I’ve accomplished both with ABF!

Are you looking for ways to give back to the community, just like Taeler? If so, you’re invited to dive into one of these upcoming volunteer opportunities!
