We are excited to announce that with decreases in numbers of COVID 19 positive cases throughout Arizona, visitation is starting to return to our local hospitals again! Not only does this allow family members to be screened to visit their loved ones during designated hospital visiting hours, but our Arizona Burn Foundation social workers will be returning to hospital rounds and inpatient support needs of our burn survivors once again. Emotional support and physical presence in healing is invaluable in a burn trauma stay, and we are honored to partner with our hospital staff through the Arizona Burn Center at Valleywise Health to return to offer in person crisis support needs. We are also now partnering with Banner University Medical Tucson Center and their burn center.
We look forward to upcoming in person support of crisis burn care needs as other hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and nursing care centers permit. Our social work team at the Arizona Burn Foundation is proud to be a part of hope, encouragement, resources provision, and crisis care needs as we walk alongside our burn community in healing, once more face to face, and as always, heart to heart.
