Our school-age and teenage burn survivors are getting geared up to attend our annual Camp Courage virtually in June 2021. We have fun, interactive, and meaningful days planned and you can be part of the fun! Your support of the Camp Courage experience will be filled with incredible memories and healing experiences for the children, parents, and siblings. You can help show them the strong and supportive community that surrounds them.

Can you help us make it an EXTRA special week? Your gift of sponsoring a Camp Courage Box can empower our young campers to learn new skills and provide therapeutic activities to help support their healing and recovery journeys.

Here is what your generous gift can do for our Camp Courage Campers:

$25 can provide each camper with Camp Courage shirts: Each year, campers attending Camp Courage receive two camp t-shirts (one with the yearly creative theme and one to tie-dye). These shirts foster the camp spirit among campers and unities campers with each other camp week and beyond. You can help us give campers a piece of camp to take home with them and wear throughout the year.

$50 can provide each camper with a Ropes Course activity: In our Camp-in-a-Box this year, we will be including a carabineer and rope tying materials. During the virtual camp week, campers will participate in a virtual ropes course, including learning knot-tying skills, the ins and outs of ropes courses, and safety. Our Ropes Course programming will teach creative planning, building, and teamwork towards a larger goal.

$100 can provide Arts & Crafts material: Throughout Virtual Camp Courage week, each camper will participate in two Arts & Crafts sessions. Arts and crafts sessions at camp are a well-loved experience, while also learning how to process and express their feelings. Sometimes it can be difficult to open up and talk about difficult experiences, but through creative artwork, these children will have the opportunity to engage, share, identify, and own their feelings.

$500 can provide support for programs like Camp Courage. Since its inception thirty-one years ago, Arizona Children’s Burn Camp has promoted self-esteem and emotional healing for children each year. “Camp Courage” provides young burn survivors with an opportunity to build self-esteem, overcome challenges, meet new friends, and most importantly, learn to live life outside their physical scars which often define them day after day.

Our Camp-in-a-Box will provide each camper with all the materials to create meaningful connections and therapeutic healing at no cost to our burn survivors and their families. Because of donors like you, they can build friendships and confidence in themselves as they have every year!
