Volunteer Spotlight: Camp Courage Core Committee

Camp Courage doesn’t begin on opening day—it begins months in advance.

Long before campers arrive, the Core Committee is already hard at work—planning, coordinating, troubleshooting, and building the foundation for everything camp will become. For several months each year, they meet, organize, and problem-solve to ensure every detail is in place and every camper experience is thoughtfully considered.

When camp finally begins, their behind-the-scenes work becomes something much bigger: a safe, welcoming, and meaningful space for the burn community to connect and heal.

Our Core Committee members come from all walks of life, but they share a deep commitment to giving back. Collectively, they represent decades of service, leadership, and dedication to Camp Courage. Their work often happens quietly, but its impact is felt in every moment of camp.

To our Core Committee: thank you for the time, care, and heart you pour into this mission—month after month, year after year. Camp Courage is stronger because of you.
