CEO Corner: January 2026

Dear Friends of ABF,

It’s an honor to step into this role and continue building on the incredible foundation that so many of you have been a part of. For 58 years, the Arizona Burn Foundation has been a source of hope and healing for burn survivors and their families—and 2026 will be no different. In fact, we’re ready to make this year our most impactful yet.

You’ll see us sharing more stories, more videos, and more updates across social media and other platforms. Our mission is powerful, and we’re committed to telling it in every way possible.

We’re also growing our volunteer network in exciting ways. By partnering with nursing colleges and academic institutions, we’re welcoming volunteers with diverse backgrounds who are already stepping up for smoke alarm walks and community safety initiatives. These partnerships will help us build a strong, engaged volunteer base for years to come.

Our camps and retreats continue to evolve based on feedback from survivors and volunteers, ensuring they remain meaningful and transformative. And our fire safety programs are expanding—recently, a conversation with the town of Superior sparked interest from Miami and Kearny, and we expect smoke alarm walks to continue to reach communities across Arizona, from Lake Havasu to Yuma.

Our mantra for 2026 is simple: Find a way to say yes. We may be a small foundation, but we are mighty—because of the trust and partnerships we’ve built by showing up and making a difference, one home and one survivor at a time.
